Journey is the motion from origin to destination; curiosity is the journey within the journey, an origin free of destination, engulfed in the purity of exploration. Process becomes essential to itself, questions are explored in all ramifications , though often remain unanswered; the lightness of being, suspension within the perpetually ephemeral and the assertion of having initiated a dialogue, rather then ended a discussion. Nothing is definitive other than the need to begin.
The omnipresent mark; deep, assertive, incisive, the mark of time, of experiences, of society, of choices. As the work progresses it abandons statements of identity and raises questions of individuality. Is it still possible, in a universe of conformity is there still space for an individual?
The metal is absolute, explored and exploited in all its forms, it offers base and cover for all my visual resolutions. The intellect matures inquisitively and inconclusively, resulting in a chaotic but rhythmic ensemble of syllables. Question all, conclude none; other than the journey within itself that each painting represents.
