Aaron Zulpo is an Illinois-native who earned his Bachelor's degree at the Rhode Island School of Design, and currently lives and works in Brooklyn, New York.

This year, Aaron was chosen as the Perez Art Museum Pick at Pulse Miami Beach, and holds an Artist Residency at the Ace Hotel in New York.

Aaron creates narrative paintings, where his main objective is to capture multiple moments of many stories while using natural and artificial boundaries to aid in the stories' legibility. His narrative ideas are not too far from the common tropes and ideas found in a block buster film. Unlike a movie, his intention is not to create a connection between the characters and the viewer, but to allow the viewer to be a distant voyeur who is able to look at the colors, patterns, and details without disturbance.
